COVID-19 Update

The world has changed significantly during the last week, most notably during the last few days, as we all are faced with important decisions to do our part to help slow down the spread of COVID-19. At StarVista LIVE, we are concerned first and foremost with the safety, health and well-being of our guests, the artist community and our staff. Our decisions are and will continue to be guided by those concerns.

As you may know, StarVista LIVE postponed Flower Power Cruise 2020 scheduled for a departure date of March 28, 2020. This cruise sold out in April 2019, so we recognize the deep disappointment our booked guests feel, and we feel it too after 18 months of hard work and planning for our 5th Anniversary sailing. We believe it would have been an incredible week of Flower Power music, memories, fun, and community that everyone expects from a StarVista LIVE experience. However, given the gravity of the situation, we are confident it was the right thing to do, as well as revising our cancellation policy to the 2020 Flower Power Cruise booked guests for a full 100% credit on a future Flower Power cruise. 

We greatly appreciate your patience as we all navigate this unprecedented situation; it is truly uncharted territory. We will continue to monitor the current situation as reported by the CDC, WHO and other various government authorities, in conjunction with daily communication with the cruise lines, to find an appropriate plan for the rescheduling of the Flower Power Cruise 2020. As of today, the Malt Shop Memories Cruise 2020 and all future StarVista LIVE 2021 cruises are planning to sail as scheduled. As we continue to receive calls and messages from our guests, please know all calls are important to us. However, we are trying to address the immediate concerns of Flower Power Cruise 2020 guests first. 

Over the last ten years, the StarVista LIVE family, whether it’s those that prefer Disco, Soul, Classic Country, early or later Rock ‘n’ Roll, has been close-knit and built on a foundation of the shared love of music and memories. Music brought us together and we know it will keep us together in the future.

FAQs for 2020 Booked Guests

Q: Why can’t I receive a refund for the Flower Power Cruise 2020 instead of a 100% Future Cruise Credit?

A: As you know, Flower Power Cruise 2020 has been postponed.  We will be providing 100% credit to carry forward as a Future Cruise Credit to the very next Flower Power Cruise. We are in the process of determining the most opportune time for the next Flower Power Cruise and will advise you immediately when the alternate date has been set. With the world situation still in flux, we will need some time to put all the pieces together and check ship and artist availability.  We ask for your patience as we navigate this process. 

Q: I would like to apply my Future Cruise Credit to Flower Power Cruise 2021 sailing March 20, 2021.  Why do I have to wait? 

A: We would appreciate your patience as we work to determine the details on the new date for the postponed Flower Power Cruise 2020.  If March 20, 2021 is the next sailing, you can apply the Future Cruise Credit to that sailing. Should we schedule a sailing earlier than March 20, 2021, you would have a choice as to applying your Future Cruise Credit to the earlier cruise or the March 20, 2021 cruise. Again, please allow us some time to develop and communicate information and full details on dates, ship and artist roster. 

Q: I know I want to sail the 2021 Flower Power Cruise sailing March 20, 2021 in my same cabin.  What if the cruise goes on sale to the public before I can use my 100% Future Cruise Credit?

A: We are holding the public on sale date until we announce the rescheduled Flower Power Cruise 2020.  Previously booked 2020 guests will have the exclusive chance to make their decision before the Flower Power Cruise 2021 opens for sale to the public.

Q: Previously, when we only had a 50% credit, I already made the choice to move my credit to Flower Power 2021 sailing on March 20.  Will you honor that request?

A: No, we have removed the 50% offer and are now offering a 100% Future Cruise Credit. If March 20, 2021 is the next sailing, you can apply the Future Cruise Credit to that sailing. Should we schedule a sailing earlier than March 20, 2021, you would have a choice as to applying the Future Cruise Credit to the earlier cruise or the March 20, 2021 cruise. Please allow us some time to develop and communicate information and full details on dates, ship and artist roster. 

Q: Will the same artist lineup that was on the postponed Flower Power Cruise 2020 be available for the rescheduled cruise?

A: We are in discussions with the artists from the postponed Flower Power Cruise 2020 and we will provide updates to you as soon as we have them. 

Q: I already put a deposit on the Flower Power Cruise sailing March 20, 2021.  How will my 2021 deposit be handled if I use my Future Cruise Credit for this Flower Power Cruise?

A: We would appreciate your patience as we work to determine the details on the new date for the postponed Flower Power Cruise 2020.  Once that sailing date has been established, we will offer you the option of selecting the next Flower Power Cruise sailing and/or next spring (should we decide to sail earlier than next spring) and if you are owed money after that decision we will promptly refund. 

Q: When do you expect to announce the new rescheduled dates for the Flower Power Cruise 2020?

A: We hope to have some additional information within the next 8 weeks.  In the meantime, our promise is to continue to communicate routinely the status of the rescheduled cruise.  We ask for your patience as the fluidity of the situation continues.

Q. Does the StarVista LIVE Future Cruise Credit expire? 

A. The Future Cruise Credit must be redeemed against the next Flower Power Cruise whether that be the cruise postponed until later this year or the Flower Power Cruise currently scheduled to sail on March 20, 2021. If, once the rescheduled Flower Power Cruise date is announced, you determine that neither of the Flower Power Cruise dates work for you, you may use your Future Cruise Credit for any other available StarVista LIVE cruise that sails before December 31, 2021.  

Q: I am on a payment plan for the Flower Power Cruise that sails on March 20, 2021. I want to pause that in anticipation of using my Future Cruise Credit for the 2021 cruise.

A: Contact the office and we will facilitate the pausing of your Flower Power Cruise 2021 payments so that you may wait comfortably until we have new information on the revised dates, and you can make an informed decision.

Q: If I have a StarVista LIVE promotional onboard credit on my Flower Power Cruise 2020 reservation will that carry over to my rebooking?  

A: We will honor any Flower Power Cruise 2020 booked guest onboard credits on the rebooked cruise. 

Q: I am a Travel Agent?  What should I tell my guests?

A: All guests will receive the 100% paid Future Flower Power Cruise credit.  

Q: I am a travel agent or group leader with guests who were supposed to sail on Flower Power Cruise 2020.  When will I receive my commission? 

A:  Travel Agents and Group Leaders will be eligible for their earned commissions when the Flower Power Cruise 2020 guest uses their Future Cruise Credit and sails on their rebooked cruise.
