Don’t Miss Seeing Rod Stewart at Bethel Woods This Summer
It was the summer of 1969 and the Jeff Beck Group, featuring vocalist Rod Stewart, had just played the Filmore East and the Newport Jazz Festival, and were scheduled to perform the next day at what Stewart recalls as “some outdoor event or other in upstate New York.” A false rumor that Beck’s “missus was having an affair with the gardener,” caused Beck to cancel the rest of the tour and return home to London. That event was the legendary Woodstock festival, which occurred in Bethel, NY on Max Yasgur’s farm. Beck went on to success as a solo artist and Stewart joined forces with The Faces and became a rock icon. Rod Stewart will finally perform on the hallowed grounds of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on the Pavilion Stage on July 21st with special guest Cyndi Lauper. More info and tickets here.
