A Letter from the Executive Producer
We’re about a week and a half away from our 2019 sailing and I am so excited to get onboard and see so many of your familiar faces. Hopefully you’ve planned out your theme night outfits and have started packing your bell bottoms, tie dye and all things fringe. The Flower Power Cruise sold out in record time this year and I believe we’ve got the programming to match the excitement. The music, events and décor will transport you back to that summer of 1969 at Woodstock and the era that redefined our culture. We’ll have morning yoga and meditation, Woodstock panel discussions, autograph sessions, karaoke and of course all the music and parties you’ve come to love on this cruise.
You’ve also heard by now that we’ll have one incredible show for the entire ship by Tommy James and The Shondells in the Pan Am Terminal in San Juan. Just steps from the ship, this is the perfect location for us to all enjoy an epic performance and kick off our Crimson and Clover Bell Bottom Ball. We’ll deck out the venue in ‘60s décor to take you back in time – I think you’ll be happy with what you see.
As we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, we are also in the midst of planning our 5th anniversary celebration of the Flower Power Cruise! We’ve got a superstar lineup in store as an incredible mix of alumni and brand new artists to the cruise join us for a week of peace and love. The Hollies (special appearance 3/31), The Zombies, Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone, The Turtles, Arlo Guthrie, The Buckinghams, The Grass Roots, Rare Earth, Vanilla Fudge and many more will be joining us for this party at sea. 2019 guests – make sure to book your spot now as we’re sure to sell out soon after our return.
The growth and success of this cruise in particular has been astounding and I can’t wait to keep on grooving with you all for years to come. Thanks for all your support, and see you soon!
Stay Groovy,
Alan Rubens
