The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nominates Another Flower Power Cruise Artist - The Zombies
It’s no secret that we love the sounds of the Flower Power era. But it’s always fun when we’re reminded that there are a whole lot of other folks out there who share the same feelings about peace and love and really great music.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has been particularly enamored by the artists that led the movement; just recently, they announced that 2017 Flower Power Cruise performers The Zombies have been nominated for induction next year. If they are selected, The Zombies will be surrounded by many of their Flower Power Cruise friends who have long been members of the Rock Hall, including:
The Animals
The Family Stone
The Lovin’ Spoonful
The Yardbirds
And, although not officially a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Peter Asher is a longtime supporter of the organization and personally inducted The Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein during the 2014 ceremony.
